Learning from the Buddha means emulating the thinking, speech, and conduct of the Buddha

About Us

The Canadian Association of Buddhist Studies (formerly known as Canada Charitable Moral Practice Centre Society) was established in 2007. The association follows the teachings and practices of Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III and Namo Shakyamuni Buddha. We host periodic events such as dharma assemblies, weekly group studies, and more.

Activity

Group Study

We come together weekly to learn H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III's audio recordings of imparted Dharma.

Online Group Study

Several online study group classes are held weekly, tailored for Buddhists at different levels.

Dharma Assembly

All merits are dedicated to alleviating suffering, attaining happiness, accessing authentic Buddha Dharma, preventing adversities, attaining perfect fortune and wisdom for all living beings, and praying for world peace, prosperity across all nations, and harmony among humanity.

Group Outing

Organized outings and celebratory activities to entertain and relax both body and mind.

Life Release Dharma Assembly

Buddhist disciples should not only refrain from killing but also practice releasing lives, assisting sentient beings at risk of losing their lives, and freeing them from suffering, showing compassion to all.

Chinese Language Study Group

We offer youth and young adult study classes with Buddhist teachings as the content.

Charitable Donations

Participate in various charitable activities, such as fundraising, disaster relief donations, and various community charitable arts performances.

Repentance Ritual (拜懺)

Three repentance rituals (拜懺) are held weekly at the Buddhism association. We hope that each individual sincerely practices Buddhism, corrects their behavior, abstain from doing all that is evil, and to do all that is good.
