Answer 23 On Day 23 of the Lunar year

Regarding “Buddha Bestowing Amrit,” it has nothing to do with whether that so-and-so great rinpoche could bestow Amrit as you asked. You are too ignorant and pitiable. That so-called great rinpoche is not even Gold Button Level 1. Even a Shangzun of Gold Button Level 3 or a Yuzun of Gold Button Level 4 cannot invoke Buddha to bestow Amrit. In short, (regular) Bodhisattvas and the venerable ones cannot give any Amrit. Other than Buddhas, only an Equal Enlightenment or Marvelous Enlightenment Bodhisattva, who descends to the world from an ancient Buddha and thus possesses the enlightenment capacity of a Buddha, can bestow Amrit. Therefore, it must be a Buddha.

The Amrit for Expounding the Absolute Truth through the Heart Sutra was bestowed by Buddhas in the sky to celebrate the publishing of the book Expounding the Absolute Truth through the Heart Sutra and to prove that the Dharma expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the true Dharma of Tathagata. It does not come from any Greatly Holy and Virtuous One or great Bodhisattva practicing some dharma. There is no Equal or Marvelous Enlightenment Bodhisattva among the holy virtuous ones, so no one has the enlightenment capacity of a Buddha to invoke Buddhas to bestow Amrit. A Great Bodhisattva can, at most, give Amrit from trees or flowers. However, we must clarify that Maitreya Bodhisattva is an Equal Enlightenment Bodhisattva, who is equal to a Buddha. He can bestow amrit. In Tibetan Tantras, He is now well-known as the Jampa Buddha.

There are several different kinds of amrit. Suppose it is the Supremely Precious Amrit bestowed by the Buddha. In that case, the disciple will receive a real inner-tantric initiation and attain great accomplishment on the spot, realizing the state of nirvana with complete awareness.

If the Greatly Precious Amrit is bestowed by the Buddha in the initiation, then the disciple must abide by the precepts in cultivation and practice without violating the tenets of the Amrit Protection Longevity Mantra. If one seeks longevity, one’s lifespan will be 125 years, and one will attain accomplishment and liberation in 12 years, realizing the state of nirvana with complete awareness.

If it is the Bodhi Amrit bestowed by the Buddha, one will attain accomplishment and liberation in 20 years with a lifespan of 125 years. However, one must abide by the Amrit Protection Longevity Mantra precepts. If one commits a violation, one must sincerely repent and correct oneself within 15 days. Otherwise, the amrit will be gone. Only Buddha-bestowed Bodhi Amrit can be sprinkled in the initiation, but the effect is only five percent. Moreover, an amrit pill has only a two percent effect.
